How to Join

The 43rd Flying Club is a member owned non-profit 501 (c) 7 corporation registered in the State of Connecticut.  We welcome new applications for new members with the following qualifications:

All members must be responsible and financially able to meet the dues, charges and assessments hereinafter provided for. They must be a private pilot and possess all licenses, certificates and permits required by all federal, state, and local government agencies for the operation of the aircraft to be flown. Rusty pilots with current medicals are accepted pending flight check-out and board approval.

Membership shall be obtained only through the majority approval of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may ascertain and fix any other conditions and requirements of the membership as may be deemed necessary for the best interest of the club.

Steps to Apply for Membership:

1) Complete this Application and forward to Frank Campanelli, marketing officer at info@43rdaviation.com

2) The following documents and activities are requirements for club membership:

  • Copy of pilots License (both sides)
  • Log book endorsement of current BFR
  • FAA Medical Certificates or Basic Med Documentation
  • Driver’s License
  • Include Security Deposit of  $2,300 ($2,200 club deposit plus $100 processing fee)
  • Make check out for $2,300 payable to: 43rd Aviation Flying Club, Inc. and mail to address below, or send electronic payment to:
  • Electronic Zelle payments may be sent to treasurer@43rdaviation.com
  • When your application documents are approved, we’ll set you up with an instructor for a flight review and checkout
  • Attend a monthly club meeting ASAP as a requirement for induction, first Wednesday of the month

When the above requirements are completed, the board will vote on your admission to the club. In the event you are not accepted we will refund your money less the processing fee and any flight time expenses incurred while performing the check out. You are directly responsible for payment to the instructor for any of their fees in regards to the check out.
